LOS ANGELES — PragerU will dispatch a box truck covered in LED screens Thursday, Oct. 24, on a drive through Silicon Valley. The truck’s screens will play the PragerU videos that YouTube restricts to bring awareness to Friday’s opening arguments in its California state lawsuit against Google/YouTube. The truck will begin its trip Thursday at UC Berkeley around 10 a.m. PDT and will travel through the Bay area, making stops at several Big Tech company headquarters on the way to its final destination, the Superior Court of California in Santa Clara.
A map is available here to track the PragerU truck’s progress during the road trip as it passes Big Tech campuses on its way to the courthouse.
“The mainstream media has completely ignored the issue of Big Tech censorship of conservative voices,” said Craig Strazzeri, CMO at PragerU. “That’s why we’re going on this road trip Thursday, to spread public awareness on the issue so Americans know what’s going on.”
PragerU’s California state lawsuit against Google, like its federal counterpart currently awaiting decision in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, alleges that YouTube — a Google subsidiary — has unfairly censored PragerU videos because they promote conservative ideas. Despite not a single video containing explicit, vulgar or obscene material, YouTube has restricted over 200 PragerU videos, labeling them as “dangerous” or “derogatory.” Among these are several videos from a series on the 10 Commandments presented by Dennis Prager, which cover concepts such as “Do Not Misuse God’s Name,” “Do Not Steal” and “Do Not Covet.”
Media is invited to track the truck and interview PragerU representatives at its various stops in Silicon Valley about Friday’s court hearing and the importance of PragerU’s lawsuit to the future of the First Amendment.
